Your wedding gown isn’t just fabric, it’s a memory you can hold. Without proper care, even the most beautiful dress can yellow, stain, or lose delicate detailing over time. The good news: wedding gown preservation is simple, and we’ll walk you through every step so it stays as stunning as the day you said “yes.” 🤍
Why Wedding Gown Preservation is Important
1) Prevent yellowing + set-in stains Invisible stains (champagne, makeup, sweat, perfume) can surface years later and turn brown without professional treatment.
2) Protect delicate details Lace, tulle, beading, and appliqués are fragile. Proper cleaning and archival storage keep them intact.
3) Create a timeless heirloom Whether you save it for sentimental reasons, repurpose a piece, or pass it down, preservation keeps your story wearable.
4) Peace of mind An archival box protects against light, dust, humidity, and time... so you’ll know it’s safe, not just hope.
How to Preserve Your Gown with Senoia Bridal
1) Do a quick “after the wedding” check
Hang your dress somewhere cool and dry (avoid attic/basement).
Let any moisture (rain/dew/sweat) air-dry.
Don’t spot-clean with home products
Place your dress back in your dress bag.
2) Reserve your preservation online
Tap our booking link.
Click “Book Now.”
From the dropdown, select “Gown Preservation”
Choose any time slot, the time doesn’t matter. It simply processes your payment and secures your spot.
3) Text us your drop-off plan
After booking, text us the day & time you’d like to drop off during business hours.
Prefer curbside? We can arrange a quick handoff.
4) Prep what you’re bringing
Your gown (and any detachable pieces: overskirt, sleeves, belt).
Your preservation kit includes up to 5 accessories (veil, garter, sash, keepsake handkerchief)
Empty pockets, remove pins, and note any specific areas (mud hem, makeup at neckline, champagne drips).
Put your full name and any important notes about stains or repairs in the front pocket of your dress bag
5) Drop off at Senoia Bridal
We’ll check your dress in, review your notes, confirm add-ons, and share the current turnaround time. (Generally 2-10 weeks)
6) Professional clean + preserve
Your gown is carefully cleaned (visible + invisible stains) and packed with acid-free materials in an archival preservation box designed to guard against light, dust, humidity, and yellowing
Alterations and repairs available at an additional cost (ask us about add-ons)
7) Pick up when it’s ready
We’ll text you when it’s complete. Choose the date and time you're available for pick up!
8) Store it the right way
Keep the box flat in a cool, dry place (not attic/basement).
Avoid plastic storage and direct sunlight.
Only open the box if necessary! Text us first for best practices.
Pro Tips to Save (and Share!)
The sooner you preserve, the better. Invisible stains set quickly.
Bring your veil too. It picks up hair spray, makeup, and outdoor dust.
Had photos in grass, red clay, or on the beach? Tell us at drop-off so we can target those areas.
